2009-2010 Coaching Staff
The Tillsonburg Skating Club is able to offer an excellent skating program, due largely in part to our diverse and accomplished coaching staff.
The 2009-2010 Winter Season coaching staff includes:
 | Krista DeWachter Krista is a Level 2 Certified coach specializing in Dance, as well as a Special Olympic and Certified Fitness Leader. She has 23 years of coaching experience at the CanSkate and StarSkate levels. Krista is available for private/semi-private lessons in Canskate and Dance.  | Penny Jelsma Penny is a Level 3 Certified coach specializing in free skate. She has been coaching for 14 years from the CanSkate to National levels. Penny competed as an international skater and was a 2 time Canadian Junior Gold medalist. The sport of figure skating has been in her life from the age of 6 and continues with her career as a coach.  | Sue Plewes Sue is an NCCP Level 3 Certified coach with 30 years of coaching experience from the CanSkate to National levels. She is available for private lessons on Tuesday and Thursday evenings or Monday and Wednesday Ticket Ice.  | Kaitlan Lavis Kaitlan is just kicking off her coaching career. She will be helping to coach the Tillsonburg CanSkate program and will also be available for private lessons for skaters up to Level 7. Kaitlan has been skating for 13 years and has skated professionally in ice skating shows for the past year. She toured Europe with Holiday on Ice and performed in an "Endless Summer On Ice" at Canada's Wonderland during the summer.  | Meaghan Phillips Meaghan has been skating since she was 3 years old and really enjoys working with and teaching children. She is currently working on her Level 1 certification. Meaghan can provide private lessons on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays in Canskate. She possesses a positive attitude and uses positive reinforcement to encourage her students.
